Less than 24 hours after the Nigerian billionaire and business
mogul, Aliko Dangote, rose to the 23rd position on Forbes Magazine’s
ranking of World Richest Person, the President of Dangote Group has been
downgraded and dropped by 14 places to become the 37th richest in the
world.
Dangote was said to be worth $25 billion on Thursday, 6 November, 2014,
but in the latest ranking published 24 hours later, on Friday, 7 November,
2014, the first black person to achieve such a position has seen his
wealth dropped to about $21 billion.
According to the ranking, Bill Gates still remains the richest person in the
world with a net worth of $82 billion. He is closely followed
by Carlos Slim Helu & family with a net worth of $82 billion.
Warren Buffet is still in third position with a net worth of $70
billion, while Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is ranked 14th with a net
worth of $33 billion.
