Villarreal striker Ikechukwu Uche has expressed happiness with his
goals against Almeria in the Spanish championship on Sunday.
The two strikes took the Nigerian international haul to 100 since
he arrived Spain 12 years ago, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The Yellow Submarine defeated Almeria, who featured Ramon Azeez, 2
– 0, thanks to goals on either side of the half by Uche.
“Great game last
night, very proud to have scored my 100th goal in Spain. Just want to thank
everyone for the support,”allnigeriasoccer.com quoted the striker as saying on
his Twitter handle.
The 30 – year – old is currently locked in talks with the
Villarreal power-brokers over the extension of his contract, which expires at
the end of this season.
