Operatives of Jigawa State command of Nigeria Security and
Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC, has apprehended one Abdullhamid Abbas, 40 year, for
impregnating a mentally retarded 16-year-old girl.
The NSCDC also disclosed that the mentally-retarded teenager
had delivered female twins in her parents house.
Abdulhamid, who lives at Mijirgan village of Miga local
government area of Jigawa State, is yet to admit committing the crime.
The Commandant of the agency in the state, Gidado Muhammad,
told newsmen over the weekend that the man had been arrested for impregnating
an insane woman in Jigawa.
He further disclosed that the case was currently under
investigation, adding the accused person would, thereafter be arraigned for
prosecution.
