Buttocks injection: Woman Jailed for 10years

A woman has been jailed for at least 10 years over the death of a London dancer who had 19 litres of silicone injected in her buttocks.

Padge-Victoria Windslowe, 45, performing illegal “body sculpting”, had no medical training and used deadly products on vulnerable women who wanted curves, according to prosecutors.

Authorities said a botched injection killed Claudia Aderotimi, a 20-year-old London break-dancer and student, after the silicone put into her buttocks moved to her lungs and stopped her heart.

The former madam, who was convicted of third-degree murder, which is not premeditated but involves malice, told her trial that clients called her “the Michelangelo of buttocks injections”.
But she was described by a judge in Philadelphia as a narcissist who ignored the law and acted surprised when things went wrong.

“I don’t think you’re evil,” Judge Rose Marie DeFino-Nastasi told the defendant.

“You don’t believe that you must follow the rules of society … It showed in the courtroom.”

Ms Aderotimi complained of chest pains and breathing problems during the procedure at an airport hotel room in February 2011.

Windslowe had arrived with a water bottle filled with liquid silicone, a red plastic cup, needles and syringes, and Krazy Glue to close the puncture wounds.

But she apparently struck a vein when she injected Ms Aderotimi. The cheap silicone soon spread to her lungs and she died in hospital a few hours later.

The defendant’s lawyer said she did not realise the dangers of the procedure and was remorseful about her client’s death.

But the judge said she was troubled that Windslowe had resumed the illegal silicone injections after Ms Aderotimi died.

Prosecutors complained Windslowe has been trying to raise money in the victim’s name while in prison.
