In the ongoing 9,999 Singers Carol Night,
Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The popular “O' Come all Ye Faithful” translated and sang
in Akwa Ibom local language.
Currently seen present Cardinal John Onaiyekan,
Don Moen, Panam Pacy Paul, Sinach and host of others.
In his message Cardinal Onaiyekan Said the
first carol started on the night Jesus Christ was born.
“The child in the manger is a message
itself. We should know we all came from God and every child deserves care and
love”. He said
He urged everyone to think about the
children born in the slumps, villages, hills, in the north east, and all babies
born in the theatre of war.
“children are always a gift from God and
every child is precious, try to reach out to children wherever they may be”, he
added
He also admonished Nigerians to embrace
peace, that there can not be peace except everybody accepts forgiveness.
The Cardinal has called on the politicians
that, in the spirit of Christmas the politicians should know the child in the
manger is the king of kings and they should organise their activities in line
with God’s word.
That
politicians should rule in God’s name and His will
Rule
according to moral norms
Rule
for the good of the people
The people
are the reasons for governance
All the
politicians should make themselves instrument of peace and harmony.
Finally He added:
In the name of God let there be peace.
The message of Christmas is given to the
whole world and not Christians alone.
We should follow the good tenet of our
faith.
The time of Christmas is to rededicate
ourselves for peace and work for peace.
