INEC has extended the March 8 deadline for collection of
Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) by two weeks. This is contained in a statement
signed by
Mr Kayode Idowu, the Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman and made
available to newsmen on Sunday in Abuja.
The statement said the period for the collection of the PVCs
had been extended from March 8 to March 22. “This latest extension offers the
last opportunity for duly registered voters to collect their PVCs before the
general elections scheduled for March 28 and April 11,’’ the statement said.
All registered voters who are yet to collect their PVCs should
use this opportunity of the extension to collect their cards to enable them
exercise their franchise during the polls.
