New Babies on the way for 9ja Music Stars

We are not even through the first quarter of 2015 yet but following indications from recent developments, it is fast proving beyond doubts that the year will end up as a good one for Nigerian entertainers.

This is even more true for musicians as a number of them will give birth to new babies along with the albums and singles they may also release this year. Well, it all started with Tiwa Savage’s announcement on New Year’s Day this year.

The Mavin Records diva thrilled her fans with the news of her pregnancy when she posted a picture of herself and her husband holding baby shoes and wrote: ‘Just the three of us. All glory to God’ just hours into the New Year.

The announcement came as a relief to many of her fans, especially with rumours of marriage troubles between her and her husband later last year on the grounds of battery and serial adultery leading to speculation of a likely separation or divorce. Tiwa, however, is not the only lucky Mavin act expecting a bundle of joy this year.

Surulere’ singer, Dr Sid, who is presently in far away New York, is expected to become a father also. Although he has kept mute about the matter, it is an open secret that his wife of seven months, Simi, had started out on the journey of the 9-month course for a while.

Another singer yet to publicly announce her state of pregnancy is Omawumi, who recently finalised her marriage to her long-term baby daddy, Tosin Yusuf.

Former Chocolate City act, Brymo also makes the list. He announced a few weeks ago via Instagram that his girlfriend is pregnant while posting a picture of his beloved girlfriend.

We gonna have a baby. Am gonna be a daddy,’ Brymo wrote and while we may not be able to tell exactly at this time the sex of the babies, we present the order in which we expect them to be delivered.

Taking the baton from Olamide, whose fiancée, Aisha Suleiman just gave birth to a baby boy now named Batifeori Maximiliano Adedeji. Brymo’s fiancée, Ese Kadaka, a graduate of Tai Solarin University of Education in Ogun State, is presently in her third trimester and has reportedly become a regular visitor at her hospital in preparation for the delivery expected to occur this month (February) or early next month.

Following closely will be the newly wedded diva, Omawumi, who though is yet to make any announcement, has been spotted recently at different times with her increasingly growing baby bump.

Most notable of her appearances was at the private meeting held on January 2015 between Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Jonathan and some entertainers in Lagos. According to sources, Omawumi’s bundle of joy may be due for delivery anytime from June.

Simi Esiri, the wife of Dr Sid is likely to be next on the delivery lineup this year after Omawumi. Reports have it that she has registered in a UK hospital where she plans to have her baby in a few months and which may be in late June or July.

Award-winning diva, Tiwa Savage is expected to round off the deliveries in the music industry this year (unless someone else takes in this month or in March) with the arrival of her baby, which is expected to be in late July or August 2015....
